We offer reliable lawn mowing to keep your property looking its best all season long, backed by continuous seasonal care that adapts to your lawn’s changing needs throughout the year. In addition to routine maintenance, we handle general cleanup of debris — clearing leaves, branches, and other yard waste — so your outdoor space stays neat and welcoming year-round.

Our five-application fertilization program includes fertilizer, crabgrass and pre-emergent weed control, post-emergent weed control, grub control, surface insect control, and limestone; proper watering ensures each application is effective. In April, we apply a custom fertilizer blend with pre-emergent weed control. In May, grub control is applied along with a slow-release nitrogen fertilizer, plus spot spray weed control as needed. June and July bring another custom fertilizer blend with pre-emergent weed control. In August, we apply a high-nitrogen fertilizer to take advantage of peak growing conditions, with spot spray weed control as needed. September and October feature a custom blend designed to encourage root development, along with limestone if needed to correct soil pH.

Shrub & Ornamental Tree Pruning

Shrubs and small ornamental trees are trimmed and pruned multiple times throughout the season, with frequency and timing tailored to each plant’s specific type and seasonal needs.

• Ornamental shrubs are pruned once, after they’ve finished flowering, to preserve that season’s blooms while shaping the plant for healthy growth going forward.
• Evergreen (non-flowering) shrubs are trimmed twice per season to maintain a clean, consistent shape and support healthy, dense growth throughout the year.
• Ornamental trees (12 ft. and lower) are pruned and shaped once per season to encourage healthy structure and a natural, well-proportioned form.

This tiered approach ensures each plant is pruned at the right time for its type — protecting flowering cycles where it matters while keeping evergreens and small trees looking neat and healthy all season long.

Ornamental Tree Pruning (24ft & Lower)

Evergreens and ornamental trees are pruned and shaped once per season to keep them healthy, well-formed, and visually appealing. Timing of this service depends on the specific tree variety, since different species have different pruning windows to avoid stressing the tree or affecting future growth and flowering.

This service includes limbing up trees to raise the canopy, improving clearance, sightlines, and access underneath, as well as general shaping to give each tree a healthy, natural form rather than an overly manicured or unnatural appearance. The goal is to support the tree’s long-term health while keeping it looking well-maintained and in proportion with the rest of the landscape.

Fresh mulch is applied to shrub beds, planters, and around trees to help retain soil moisture, suppress weeds, regulate soil temperature, and give beds a clean, finished look.

Customers can choose the timing of their mulch service — May, June, or July — as well as the color: Brown, Red, or Black. We recommend scheduling installation in May and choosing Brown mulch, as it tends to hold its color longest and blends most naturally with the surrounding landscape, but we’re happy to accommodate whichever timing and color best fits your preferences.

Keeping plant beds looking sharp requires regular, hands-on attention — most of our clients have this service performed on a monthly basis to stay ahead of weeds and keep beds looking consistently well-kept throughout the season.

Our plant bed maintenance includes:

• • Hand weeding to remove weeds at the root, keeping beds clean without relying on chemical treatments that can harm desired plantings
  • Re-edging to restore crisp, clean lines between beds and lawn areas, giving beds back their definition as grass and mulch naturally encroach over time
  • Mulch turning, where existing mulch is flipped and refreshed to help it age evenly, maintain a consistent appearance, and continue suppressing weeds and retaining soil moisture

Core aeration of the entire grass area promotes root growth and loosens compaction, with two passes per treatment. The service is available in spring, fall, or both seasons, and overseeding can be added alongside fall aeration — pricing is provided to all aeration customers in August. Before aerating, we flag sprinklers and other objects in the lawn to avoid damage. Overseeding uses a high-quality Blue Grass blend for drought and heat resistance, with Fescue blend used in shaded areas, plus starter fertilizer and lime applied at the recommended rate. Lawns should be mowed to a height of 2.5″–3″ before overseeding (we’ll take care of this for customers on our regular mowing service). Homeowners are responsible for pre-marking any invisible dog fence wires before aeration or overseeding — we’ll do our best to avoid them, but we’re not responsible for any resulting damage.

• For lawns that have declined beyond what routine overseeding can fix, our lawn renovation service offers a true reset. Rather than patching thin or damaged turf, we remove all or most of the existing grass — without excavating or removing the underlying soil — to give a new lawn a clean foundation to grow from.

  Every renovation starts with an assessment of what your lawn actually needs. We’ll evaluate soil condition, drainage, sun exposure, and existing turf health, then recommend the specific combination of elements needed to establish a thick, healthy lawn going forward. Depending on the site, this may include:

  • New soil additions to improve depth, structure, or grading where existing soil is compacted, thin, or poor quality
  • Organic amendments worked into the soil to boost nutrient content and improve long-term soil health
  • Seeding or hydroseeding, using the method best suited to your lawn’s size, slope, and conditions to get new turf established quickly and evenly
